With this we invite all of you to participate in play writing / short story writing competition.
The best play will be rewarded & also be selected to be performed by Abhimanch n future.
The best short story will be rewarded & also be selected as a basis for further screenplay development which will be used for the Short Film which will be produced by "MAITRI" Productions.
The play or story can either be completely original or could be inspired from existing Story/Novel/play or true / real events.
In case of inspired from existing Story/Novel/play, the mention of clear reference is mandatory. You can write in either English or Marathi or Hindi. If the original concept is in other languages e.g.Tamil, Kannada, Bengali or Gujarathi etc, the request is to translate the concept into "English"
The text of the play shall be structured in a way considering the format of "One Act Play". The duration of One Act Play is estimated to be 30 to 45 minutes (maximum) The story shall be framed in a way considering the format of "Short Film" The duration of the short film is estimated to be 1 minutes to 30 minutes (maximum) Number of words is no bar. Subject is no bar. Word or PDF format is acceptable.
